Z47-backed Wootz.work Raises $6.6Mn Series A to Bring Predictability to Offshore Manufacturing

February 25th, 2026 | New Delhi/ London/ Houston

Over the last decade, manufacturing supply chains have expanded across countries, regulatory systems, and numerous suppliers. While geography diversified, accountability fragmented. For most OEMs today, the problem isn’t access to factories, it’s coordinating them.

That’s why we backed Karan Anand and Himanshu Uniyal and are excited to double down and lead Wootzwork’s $6.6M Series A, alongside continued participation from Nexus Venture Partners and AdvantEdge Founders, and the addition of Stride Ventures.

While offshoring promises savings, in reality 15-30% of anticipated savings are typically lost to coordination failures: delays, rework, quality breakdowns, and management bandwidth drain.

Wootzwork flips the model, operating as a single, accountable manufacturing partner for complex industrial programs across India and Southeast Asia, with on-shore manufacturing where required in customer markets. Wootzwork orchestrates factories, taking full accountability for execution.

“Most companies treat manufacturing complexity as a risk to be minimised,”
said Karan Anand, co-founder and CEO of Wootzwork. “We treat it as a competitive advantage. When the system is engineered properly, complexity becomes leverage - not chaos.”

That sentence captures the thesis. No single factory is fully efficient for any complex product. Modern OEM programs involve high-mix parts, specialised processes, and sequencing that rarely belong under one roof. The fragmentation isn’t the bug. It’s the system.

Wootzwork maps, qualifies, and governs capacity across regions, compressing timelines from years to weeks, and giving global enterprises visibility from raw material to final delivery.

In the past year alone, Wootzwork has:

  • Delivered complex cross-border programs for 22+ global enterprises
  • Operated across 12 international trade lanes, including the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand
  • Activated 300+ suppliers
  • Executed 30M+ parts and assemblies
  • Maintained >98% on-time delivery and quality compliance under stringent global frameworks

Wootz’s customers have noticed the capabilities & proof of execution.

“Even as a relatively new partner, Wootzwork moved very quickly to support us across a broad range of work, including programs tied to demanding end customers,” said Felix Franke, Managing Director at Saxonia-Franke GmbH & Co. KG. “Their ability to ramp up fast while maintaining quality gave us confidence early on.”

“Working with Wootzwork has been a seamless experience,”
added Curtis Bishop, Director of Sales at AFC Industries. “The team stands out for its responsiveness and ability to stay flexible as our requirements evolve. Their quoting process is extremely thorough, and they remain highly adaptable to our needs. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Wootzwork in 2026 and beyond.”

Wootzwork has built a system where quality scales with size. They overlay proprietary engineering, governance, and execution systems onto existing factory infrastructure — raising standards without rebuilding plants.

“Scale usually breaks quality because systems don’t scale with it,”
said Himanshu Uniyal, co-founder and COO of Wootzwork. “We built the system so quality scales with execution, not against it.”

Manufacturing is not a quarterly business. Trust in this sector is earned over years. Karan and Himanshu have built deep execution capability in a domain where credibility compounds slowly and defensibly. What excites us is not just the operational rigor, but the ambition: building a globally relevant manufacturing company from India.

“Wootzwork represents the kind of founder-led global ambition in advanced manufacturing that we want to back from India,”
said Sudipto Sannigrahi, Managing Director at Z47. “Karan and Himanshu have built deep execution capability in a space where trust is earned over years, not quarters. We are happy to see the AI-driven manufacturing engine that Wootzwork has built and the quality of global customers they are adding value to. We’re proud to support them with patient capital, conviction, and partnership as they build a globally relevant manufacturing company.”

The $6.6M Series A will expand their engineering footprint, deepen manufacturing control systems, and enable larger, mission-critical OEM programs.

Karan Anand recently joined us on Z47 Moments podcast to share the thinking behind Wootzwork’s approach to global manufacturing execution.

As global supply chains rebalance, geography will matter less than execution ownership. Wootzwork is building to own that layer. We wish Karan, Himanshu, and the Wootzwork team godspeed in their growth journey.
